For reasons completely unknown to me at this point, Internet Explorer has been refusing to load my site for some amt of time equal to or less than 24 hrs. I am out of country and have No idea why this should be so. I don't know if there's something in one of the write-ups or what ... anyway, other browsers work fine. One more reason to hate Microsoft. If you know why a browser would suddenly reject a website, when other browsers are unfazed, let me know.

UPDATE: Everything's fixed. Well, I had to ditch @#$#$ing sitemeter (for the moment), but Internet Explorer now officially works. When I get back to the States, I'm gonna kick sitemeter's ass ... but I love it so much. It's like the most dysfunctional relationship I've ever been in.
I was having this problem last night, and also could not read Amy's and some other sites on Blogspot. However, other Blogspot sites were fine. I couldn't find anything differentiating good and bad sites (e.g., date of last entry) so am relieved to see it working.
ReplyDeleteThere's always StatCounter.
ReplyDeleteAh, no doubt your NZ routing was going through China and the RP blog is without doubt labelled as "riddled with subervise code" and "to be blocked."
ReplyDeleteBetcha they're wondering what BEETROOT really stands for, and why it's so hated on the blog?
I began by fussing a little over RHINE vs. RHEIN for 1A because SAAR didn't fit, decided on RHEIN because of NOIR, and forged ahead. Got everything easily in place except the NW, so I meditated a little upon the geography of Germany in crossword puzzles -- should it be ESSEN? (I then noticed that the clue doesn't specify a province); and lo, everything fell into place, even SHOAT, my favorite pig word for puzzles. Once again, a wrong start gets righted eventually, if I just keep going.
ReplyDeleteThis exact problem has happened with a few other blogs that I regularly visit Rex - IE not working due to sitemeter. You are not alone!
ReplyDeleteNat Adderley (111-down)
ReplyDeleteAt least someone around here appreciates good music.
OMG!!! And here I thought it was just me all this time. Wondering what one of the kids downloaded on my computer this time that was screwing it all up. At least it wasn't the porn clip like the one that came up at my office meeting when reviewing my security cameras! That tooks some explaining! LOL
ReplyDeleteSitemeter has blogged that the issue with IE is fixed.
