Here's the first article I've seen on the tourney - Angela Halsted (aka Puzzlegirl) is quoted:
NY Sun, Monday, Mar. 3, 2008
Great tourney photos here (Lorinne Lampert's pics) and here (Pete Mitchell's pics).

PS I've been reminded that the Sun article does, in some way, discuss a couple of answers, so if you are planning on doing the tourney puzzles, you might not want to click on the above link.
PPS Write-up of Saturday's BEQ monster is now done (see sidebar, or just scroll down)
Congrats to you on your great finish.

ReplyDeleteThanks, Bill. I deleted my comment since I hosed it up so bad. Sorry, everyone. Luckily, Rex has added the link to the blog.
ReplyDeleteRex-- How did the Brooklyn experience compare to Stamford?
ReplyDeleteRex - Congrats! You really tore things up this year. It was great to see you again. You really seemed to be enjoying yourself out there, and who could blame you?
ReplyDeletePuzzlegirl, it was really nice to meet you as well! The puzzling community has such nice people, it's almost scary. Almost :).
emjo - Aw, c'mon ;). Don't forget your fellow bloggers, who sacrifice their free time and put their opinions out for all to see, day in and day out. Not to mention people who can draw slugs, manta rays, and even Abe Vigoda with amazing clarity - apparently, we've got people like that too.
Anyway, still really tired, so in sum: Convention=crazy fun. People=great. Me=toast. To everyone else I met but didn't call out by name, hope you had a great time.
