Usually disasters wait for at least Wednesday to show up.

RPRex Parkerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16145707733877505087noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35115061.post-23059818991037856632007-01-30T00:43:00.000-05:002007-01-30T00:43:00.000-05:00I worked on this one in class today. Thankfully I found your blog by searching google for the names of the authors. I knew P&L from accounting class and Ibo from history.

What really bothered me in this one (other than lacer and ilks) were the verbs like Acknowledges in Passing (nodsat) and Really Bother (eatsat)

Also, for It's no Baloney I couldn't stop thinking about different kinds of meat.

Great blog though, i'll be sure to visit more often now.El Burrohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15879434817635846157noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35115061.post-36517737596547447372007-01-23T22:48:00.000-05:002007-01-23T22:48:00.000-05:00I too ran into the same problems and frustrations ...I too ran into the same problems and frustrations mentioned - ilks, plain truth, best for 'primo.' No idea what Ibo or 'P and L' were either. The fact that all of us seem to have run into identical issues means that the puzzle's creator is either very clever or very out of touch (not sure which).Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35115061.post-71791214955356437912007-01-23T19:34:00.000-05:002007-01-23T19:34:00.000-05:00O no, please, be picky. I didn't even know what the hell "P&L" meant, so who am I to judge?

RPRex Parkerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16145707733877505087noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35115061.post-81226688471867141082007-01-23T17:18:00.000-05:002007-01-23T17:18:00.000-05:00Hate to be picky, but P&L isn't on a balance sheet...Hate to be picky, but P&L isn't on a balance sheet at all -- balance sheets list assets, liabilities and net worth. Costs and expenses are listed on a P&L. Pays to be the wife of a CPA -- I learn a lot by osmosis. Love your blog.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35115061.post-18749604707888629352006-12-12T23:43:00.000-05:002006-12-12T23:43:00.000-05:00Yeah, it was lame. I don't enjoy that kind of empty achievement. ;) And I made all the same mistakes as you, too! P&L is an accounting term; as Anonymous said above, stands for profit and loss on a balance sheet.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35115061.post-52558952565068870652006-12-12T18:56:00.000-05:002006-12-12T18:56:00.000-05:00Thank you for that info, Tom. But I'll give "HIDE" a shot if I notice myself looking. Again.

RPRex Parkerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16145707733877505087noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35115061.post-38034781805128199892006-12-12T17:17:00.000-05:002006-12-12T17:17:00.000-05:00Wow, I made nearly all the same mistakes you did a...Wow, I made nearly all the same mistakes you did and got a similarly sucky time: TINTS for TONES, AONE for BEST, trouble with ILKS, etc.

On the other hand, I quite liked the theme once I puzzled it out. This may have to do with the fact that BITTER LEMON was a popular drink in my house when I was a child.

It's worth a mention that the applet has a "Hide" button that deletes the timer for just such cases as yours (and sometimes, mine) where you're struggling and all you can see is the precious seconds ticking away. I've mostly trained myself not to look, but sometimes a when I get stuck on a particularly evil Fri or Sat it looms back into view and I have to use Hide.

-Tom McTom Mchttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09323470941502162381noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35115061.post-75474820468406492702006-12-12T12:39:00.000-05:002006-12-12T12:39:00.000-05:00Last spring, I used to chat with an IBO woman at t...Last spring, I used to chat with an IBO woman at the playground after school while our kids played.
