I'm trying so hard to find an analogy here, but failing. Folks just seem to enjoy finding something to feel righteously angry about; the really annoying thing is that they're so sure their anger is righteous. I agree with whoever said "grow up." I enjoyed working out the theme, which I got at PERFORATION, and I admired the MARS answer. After all, there are lots of worlds out there: Jupiter, Venus, and MARS, FOR INSTANCE.

As a Canadian, I don't get the vitriol for LEE, and the references to him as a traitor and a racist. Seems to me that America today is rife with them (I won't list them all). Wrong as he may have been, he fought for a cause which I assume he believed in. He lived. He died. He was part of American history. So were the slave owners who are referred to as "The Founders". So much in here, but I never understand how there are "good" or "bad" answers.

There's lemonade, and there's HARD lemonade. Kept waiting for it to kick in. Finally, had to come to the realization that this was NOT a patriotic, 9/11 theme puzzle - not even close. Then when I saw the "Lee" clue, I decided that I was completely on the wrong track. Found this puzzle to be the worst I have ever seen.
