I too had ___ATEKID and was stopped cold. "Well, it surely can't be KARATEKID, that's hardly a sport," I thought. But then it was. This gross misclue very nearly caused a DNF.

So too did other unknowables like KONMARI and PABA. They would not be denied for the crosses, but wow, who knew that? Both of you? There's no hard and fast rule; it all depends on the sentence. Let's try this sentence, which is a question:

Who was it who said: "Happiness is a warm puppy"?

Just try putting the quotation mark outside the question mark and here's what you would get:

Who was it who said: "Happiness is a warm puppy?"

Doesn't make any sense that way, does it? Charles Schultz would protest that he was making a statement and not asking a question. There are many instances where the quote marks can go outside the punctuation and there are also many instances where it can't. I'd say: just use your common sense.Nancyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16737377749030219974noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35115061.post-69544934167498427322021-01-03T20:24:54.002-05:002021-01-03T20:24:54.002-05:00I want Alfie art but I haven't had checks sinc...I want Alfie art but I haven't had checks since 2006!
